The Community Development Administration works with land and planning, environment and construction, business, culture, youth, and leisure. We have about 45 employees. The administration has a broad operation that concerns everyone who in any way works in or visits Rättvik municipality. Our overall mission is to make it attractive for current and potential residents, businesses, and visitors to live, work, and invest in our municipality.

The Land and Planning Unit creates conditions for good and sustainable development of Rättvik municipality by developing the municipality's land holdings and planning for various purposes.

The unit works with detailed planning and overall planning, land and development issues, mapping and measurement matters, as well as GIS.

Job Description

As a planning architect, you are a key person in the community development of Rättvik municipality.

The work involves many contacts within the municipal organization as well as with developers, property owners, and consultants, as well as with the municipality's politicians and residents.

Your main tasks are to be responsible for developing planning proposals (sketches with the placement of building rights, roads, and similar), preparing planning documents (planning maps, planning descriptions, and similar), and handling the planning process of your own planning documents or planning documents prepared by developers or consultants.

The work is done together with two other employees and the land and planning manager. We have different competencies and collaborate to drive the assignments forward. Depending on your experiences and competencies, there is an opportunity to adapt the tasks among us. The tasks may also include sketch work, visualizations, assessments of building permit matters, and planning materials for overarching planning documents such as comprehensive plans and similar.

Currently, we have assignments with new smaller and larger residential areas, housing for the elderly, business areas, sports areas, development of the center in the urban area, and will begin an updated comprehensive plan.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has previous experience in handling and/or preparing planning proposals/detailed plans. In your application, we want you to attach a planning map, illustrations, and planning descriptions from a detailed plan you have previously worked on. If you have not done the planning documents entirely by yourself, we want you to describe in your application what you have contributed to the work.

Meritorious experience includes:

• creating your own planning proposals/sketches.
• drawing planning maps in Focus detailed plan.
• uploading detailed plans to the national geodata platform from Focus detailed plan.
• preparing planning descriptions, environmental assessments, reports/statements, service writings, and sending out planning documents for consultation/review.
• studying at a university/college with a focus on physical planning or community planning.
• previously worked in a politically governed organization and have experience and interest in dialogue with citizens and businesses.

As a person, you are self-driven, flexible, and structured. You have good collaboration skills and express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

Other

The workplace is centrally located, right by the train and bus station in the wing building of the municipal office in Rättvik.

The position is 100%, but can also be adjusted between 50-100% for the right person upon request. One of our employees will be on parental leave, and the position is therefore limited until May 2027, with the possibility of extension. Start date for the position is by agreement. We apply individual salary setting.
